First: Check your alignment. For right-handed golfers, draw an imaginary line that points from your knees, hips, and shoulders to a target that is approximately three feet to the left of your target. Use two golf clubs at the driving range to analyze your alignment. Place one club with the shaft along your toes, and the other club along your hips or shoulders. Second: Check the position of your hands during the grip. Third: Note the position of the grip in your hands. Remember to grip the golf club primarily with your fingers and not with the palm of your hands. Fourth: Check your grip pressure. The tighter you hold the club, the more difficult it will be for you to hit the ball on target.

Fifth: Find the right ball position for your swing. Put the ball on the ground and adjust your body to the ball, and not the other way around. Sixth: Find the position of your right elbow during the backswing. Keep your elbow tucked into your body for straighter shots or a draw. Seventh: Observe if your knees or hips turn inappropriately with your shoulders. Compared to your shoulders, your knees and hips should turn only slightly. Eighth: Check your swing tempo. Slow down with your swinging and try to hit the sweet spot of the club head with a smooth swing.
